Database Administrator

Responsibilities:

• Administer a complex database environment at a growing eCommerce company.
• Determine operational requirements, set specifications, optimize database environments and configuration, administer and maintain databases for a multi-customer ASP.
• Part of the operational team responsible for 24x7 operation.
• Reports to the Manager of the ASP Support group.

Required:

• One to two years experience administering Oracle 8 on UNIX. SQL.

Desired:

• Oracle 8i on HP-UX 11.0, PL/SQL, SQL*PLUS, SQL Loader, Solaris 7, Microsoft SQL Server 7, and Windows NT 4.0. Microsoft IIS and ASP using VBScript.
